Find your way home – a new strip

Still can’t crack the Observer/Cape/Comica contest! Oh well, here’s my entry from this year. Click the pages and then click again to see them at full size.

I’ll probably do my usual round-up of other entries in a blog post, so let me know if you’ve put yours online and I’ll link to it.

  1. I really enjoyed your comic, a really sweet story and subtley told! I especially like the loose and free panelling. She must be her mother’s daughter, to be able to work out how to tattoo herself in the mirror!

This is my first year entering the competition, and i had a lot of fun looking through your collections of past entries to (and size up the competition?! ;D) In all seriousness I wish there was an official collation of entires, it would be really nice.
My entry is here: http://marginalia.thecomicseries.com/comics/12/ (I need to spruce that website up, it’s a bit yucky right now!)

  2. Thanks Helen! It’s nice to know that you could follow the story (my husband took a quick look and said he couldn’t! But I think he had other things on his mind at the time so I went with it anyway…)

Yours is lovely – thanks for the link. It vindicates my thought that so much work goes into the strips we’d never otherwise see – though I guess I can understand why they might not want to publish all entries officially: it lays them wide open to people grumbling that they made the wrong choice!

I’m away for a few days now but when I get back I’ll start collecting links in earnest and put up a dedicated post.
