So, here it is! Every time we go on holiday I swear I’m not going to bother with a sketch diary — and every time, I end up spending more time and attention on it. I suppose I have to admit that there’s no escape now. This is what I do.
So here’s part 1 of 6, chronicling our recent family trip.
We started in a part of Devon we know well, Totnes, before a few days in Lyme Regis, which was new to us. As usual, the whole holiday was by public transport — well, it had to be since none of us can drive. :)

Apologies about the next page; I know the wording is badly placed for reading – but it turned out to be difficult to fit it in any other way, so in the end I left it as it is. I hope you can still get the gist.
More in part 2.
This is so pretty cool, I hope you never give up bothering us with those travelling- sketch diaries. :)
Ah that’s lovely, thank you! ☺️
This is just amazing, I love the holiday home plan, so much better than photographs, memories remembered, and so beautifully put together. I love Lyme Regis, hunting for giant ammonites. Oh and yogi bear looks just right, I recognised him straight away 😀
Thank you! Lyme Regis was really great – well, we’ll come to that instalment soon!
Yay, I love it, living on the Jurassic coast I am lucky, Lyme Regis is one of the best spots, only 1.5 hrs away, we don’t have quite the fossil accumulation here, but sharks teeth keep me happy 😀
Nice art!
Room plans are great – wish I’d done that! Recently stayed in several AirBnB’s on one holiday, two of which were very much lived in with owners stuff in the cupboards!
This is amazing!!! If I ever finish writing my book I might have to contact you for an illustration! It’s beautiful and quirky and such a fun way to share your holiday stories!
Thank you! Very glad you enjoyed it.
