Noisy Valley
“It’s about what ordinary people do, because what we do… is quite extraordinary.”
Protest matters, and never more so than today – and yet our rights around dissent have been eroded in law. Noisy Valley is a beautifully illustrated work of graphic non-fiction exploring the importance of protest, and what it can achieve, through the voices of one vibrant community.
Sorry For The Inconvenience…
We Are Trying To Save The World
A great placard slogan can change hearts and minds, but inspiration doesn’t always strike just at the moment you need it… so, in this nifty handbook, artist Myfanwy Tristram has collected a wealth of great placard slogans to dip into when you’re planning to save the world. You’ll also find instructions for making banners that will withstand a long day of marching. Plus, in an age overshadowed by threats to our right to protest, Tristram examines what protest is, why we need it… and how to stay safe out there.

Draw the Line
100+ comic artists from around the world share simple actions anyone can take when they don’t like the current political climate – obvious ideas like signing a petition or going on a march, to imaginative ones like becoming a ‘raging granny’ (old ladies who use their innocuous looks to gain entry into places like board meetings or arms fairs, and then create havoc).
Many of the suggested actions can be done immediately, with little or no money at all. Others require a bit more planning. But all of them are steps that anyone can take if they want to enact change, and all of them are beautifully illustrated.
