As I sit here with one of my two pet cats trying to get between me and the laptop, and having just finished drawing a graphic novel about protest, I suppose I can’t complain about being pigeonholed….
In fact, I’m pretty darn delighted at my two forthcoming events.
Cats and comics

The Cartoon Museum in London currently has an exhibition about cats and comics, and they asked if they could include my El Gato strip. I was not slow to say yes!
The museum is just off Oxford Street and I highly recommend it: all the more now, if you’re a cat-lover. My strip sits among Garfield, Bagpuss, Simon’s Cat and plenty of other famous felines.
I was really pleased that my work was even mentioned in this review in the Times!
Protest and comics
Another nice piece of news is that my protest pics are being exhibited at the Brighton Reading Room* during the festival.
Here’s some info – there’s going to be a launch discussion, together with some interesting people on the panel, including my lovely friend Karrie talking about the inspiring work she does through Positive/Negatives.

I’ll also be helping run a workshop where we can make banners, badges and placards. Never are these more needed, so COME ON LET’S GO!
*Not to be confused with the Reading Room Brighton, which is a lovely new café on the seafront, and completely unrelated.
